Ozone is shortly written as o3 since the molecule consists of 3 oxygen atoms. The composition is rather unstable since the last stable one is oxygen (o2) and this is what makes ozone interesting, since the surplus oxygen atom will eventually shed itself from the formation and attach to other elements in a process otherwise called as "Oxidization".
